Missions at Good News…
“We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God.”
- John Stott
Missions efforts are a step of obedience to Jesus’ final command “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19,20).
The goal is that every nation (people group) will hear the good news of redemption through Jesus Christ so that one day “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10,11).
In fact, the Lamb is worshipped in heaven because “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9).
GNBC missionaries are supported each month through their agencies by the weekly General Fund offering at the Chapel. The current list of supported missionaries represents a strategic effort to support the work of God in the world.
“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” – John Piper

Larry & Deb Peck
Agency: Global Outreach International
Location: Italy
Ministry Focus: Electronic Discipleship, Building the Local Church
Larry and Debbie Peck have served with Global Outreach International since 2011. Their ministry has two components: a global ministry which reaches electronically around the world as well as a local ministry in Avigliana,Italy, a suburb of Torino. Larry works as an instructional designer and course facilitator to produce resources for distance learning programs. He also helps Bible colleges and seminaries who desire to move into the online environment, enabling those who are already involved in ministry — but who can’t come to a resident program — receive Bible training. Larry and Debbie are also sharing Christ with unsaved Italian neighbors and friends and discipling several young believers in their area. Less than 1 percent of Italians are evangelical believers, making it one of the most spiritually dark and resistant areas of the world. Globally and locally Larry and Debbie’s desire is to glorify Jesus Christ by helping to build the church: “proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness . . . .” (Acts 28:31).Learn more at globaloutreach.org
